A hot weekend out and about in Sac brought us to 18 Grams, conveniently located near HomeGoods & The Container Store in the Arden-Arcade area. It was packed inside, as many patrons were trying to beat the heat and soak up the AC, but we were still greeted upon entry. 18 Grams offers a unique twist on many classic drinks, and the ube latte caught my eye. I am a fan of anything ube, and have never had it in coffee form before. My husband wanted something stronger, so he ordered the Yuan Yang. Shortly after ordering, our drinks were ready. My ube latte was gorgeous! I loved the earthy tones of the ube jam juxtaposed with the richness and strength of the espresso. My husband's Yuan Yang was very strong and perfect to his liking (I got to try a sip). We decided to sit outside at one of the provided outdoor tables as it was too busy inside for our liking, and thoroughly enjoyed our coffees. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and strength of the drinks (I've definitely had overpriced coffee before). I would highly recommend 18 Grams to anyone looking for a pick-me-up or a solid cup of unique coffee. They also offer teas if coffee isn't your thing, and the food menu is pretty extensive for a small coffee shop as well. We will be back to try their other offerings!

Love 18 grams! Have been coming once a week or so at least recently because my work is nearby. I normally get the Yuen Yang(which is a coffee and milk tea mixed) and honestly so rare to see that at any coffee place because it's normally an HK cafe thing. The ratios of that drink are pretty good but I wish that the condensed milk flavor was slightly stronger. Today I got the Vietnamese Hazelnut coffee and honestly I inhaled it! It was so good(the perfect amount of hazelnut to complement the bitterness of the coffee). Service is pretty quick and the baristas are sweet. It's a good place to work or hangout casually and I love the high ceilings!

Great Place for those sugar in my coffee lovers! (Yes, you know who you are!) I came here post a 4 mile run with some of my friends, and 18 Grams was packed. I always take this as a good sign for a coffee shop, but I was kinda surprised that I didn't find the coffee that great. The coffee does come out quickly, which may account for the crowd! We ordered Double Espresso, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Vietnamese Hazelnut, Cafe Latte, Use Latte, and 1987. I tasted all of the drinks except for the espresso and regular latte, and all of the drinks were very sweet. This is the reason that I took off a star because I am traditional coffee drinker, where I actually like to taste coffee and roasting notes. Overall, I think 18 grams is a good coffee shop because of its location that has lots of parking as well. Just not sure that I would be a regular.

If in Sacramento, this is a must This drink right here is the 1987 and it's super fire. I would also try their sausage & egg sandwich with cheese which is a great pair with the drink above!
